As
time passed, Rudăria (Eftimie Murgu) has had several
important men whose ideals where obtaining and keeping
tradition, continuity and national unity, ideals that
were closely related to the coordinates of the history
development in our country, during its entire life-span.
One of the most important people that were born here
was Eftimie Murgu (1805-1870), whose name was kept as
the village name. He was the leader of the 1848 revolution
in Banat and Transilvania, and as a parliamentary, in
Budapest he fights for the unification of all Romanians
into one national state. Priest and doctor Ioan Sarbu
(1865-1922) was a scholar who fluently spoke six foreign
languages. He was a representative of the people here
in the Great Union of 1918 and a deputy in the Romanian
parliament. General Traian Doda (1822-1895) also knew
six foreign languages, being elected six times consecutively
in the Hungarian parliament and the founder of the Wealth
Community in Caransebeș. Regep-aga, this turkished
native, was the commander of the Ada-Kaleh island, being
also known as a brave man. The Gârleșteanul family,
of nobile race, was ruling the villages from Almăj
a part of this family were Iacob Gârleșteanul (ban of
Bosnia,1241), Iacob și Nicolae Gârleșteanul (bani de
Severin, XV-XVI centuries).
